Holiday Season 2021

Dear Valued Customers,

In observance of the Christmas Holiday, Tax Airfreight will be closed December 24 and 25, 2021.
All normal operations will resume on Sunday, December 26, 2021.

For the New Year’s Holiday, Tax Airfreight will provide service Friday, December 31, 2021 to those customers who have previously advise us that they are open. We will
be closed Saturday, January 1, 2022. All normal operations will resume on Sunday, January 2, 2022.

ORD Airport Changes

Dear Valued Customers,

Due to the pandemic and recent spikes in demand, there have been major operational obstacles at ORD airport.  Our goal is to improve the service we offer at ORD, while remaining cost effective in this challenging environment.  Our changes will roll out in phases.

Phase One will be effective 03/29/2021

Phase one will apply to 5 major airlines: American, United, Air France, Lufthansa and KLM

EXPORT FREIGHT:  Paperwork for export shipments will require to be received in our Chicago terminal by 8:00 a.m. for same day delivery.  Paperwork received after that time will be rolled into next day service.

IMPORT FREIGHT: Our trucks will begin picking up at the above airlines at 9:00 a.m. each day.  All other airlines will be during our normal pick up times in the afternoon or at night.  All paperwork for all airlines needs to be in by 5:00 P.M. the previous day in order to be picked up next day.

Tax-Air understands the time sensitive nature of this freight and we want to continue to provide great service.  The circumstances at ORD have created many challenges and will continue to fluctuate from day to day, so this is not a guarantee of service.  Tax Airfreight will not be responsible for any storage charges incurred if not able to recover cargo by the last free day.
