Gregory H. Groth

Founder/Executive Chairman

Gregory H. GrothGreg started his transportation career in the early 1970's on the dock for Novo Air Freight. He was quickly promoted to Night Operations Manager and then transferred to Neenah, Wisconsin where he opened and operated the first air freight forwarder in the Fox Valley. In 1977, Greg got together with two other ambitious entrepreneurs and started Tax-Air. The business was headquartered in Greg's living room.

Greg has a real passion for people and understands the importance of solid relationships with Tax-Air's employees and customers. Today, Greg oversees the day-to-day operations of Tax-Air, making time to get out of his office and talk to the people who make each terminal so effective.

Rick Sabbatini

Founder/Vice President

Rick SabbatiniRick is one of the three founders of Tax-Air. In the beginning years, Greg took the day shift and Rick took the night shift. He founded the company with one goal in mind - to do the best he could at what he was doing at the time.

Today Rick oversees fleet management and the company's accounting and collections operations. He takes time to inspire and motivate the staff, looking at what is happening today with an eye toward improving it for the future.


Mark Zeidler

President & CEO

Mark ZeidlerMark Zeidler, President & CEO, joined Tax-Air in November 2006. Mark, a 46 year old Milwaukee native, has spent the past 22 years working for BAX Global. His responsibilities ranged from Sales Representative , Area Sales Manager, National Sales Manager to Executive Director based in Sydney, Australia. He finished his career at BAX Global as Area Director of the Upper Midwest.

Mike Harris

Tax-Air Board of Directors Member

Mike HarrisPresident & CEO, Patina
Mike Harris is a proven and prolific entrepreneur. He is best known for starting and building Jefferson Wells into one of the best start-up stories in the history of Wisconsin, growing from zero to $131 million in annual sales in just five years.

Mike is known for his personal integrity, enthusiasm, creativity and vision. He believes deeply in giving clients a high value solution and to building a culture where employees are respected and challenged to set and meet high standards of quality. Mike likes driving racecars, playing golf and tennis, playing guitar and spending time with family and friends.


Tim Skalmoski

Director of Sales

Tim SkalmoskiTim joined us from from UPS where he worked as Director of Business Development for UPS Supply Chain Solutions.

With over twenty years experience in the transportation & logistics industry, Tim has worked for such notable companies as Circle International, Rock Transfer & Storage and BAX Global.

"Here at Tax-Air, Every day is different - from changes within the transportation, logistics and international trade, to solving customer needs through consulting and offering solutions."

A Wisconsin native, Tim went to school at University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree.

Barb Groth

Director of Information Services

Barb GrothBarb’s career in Information Systems began at Little Rock Air Force Base in 1991 as an Industrial Engineering. She joined Tax-Air in August 1994 and has led the IT department in developing many proprietary solutions – time keeping system, computer based dispatch and routing, taxair.com and Swoop websites, GPS, dock scanning, and automated invoicing amongst others.

Larry Haase

Vice President of Expedited Services

Larry joined the Tax-Air team in 2002, adding more structure and increased accountability to the team. His job: to make sure that the right people are in the right place doing the right things for our customers. His goal at Tax-Air is to insure continued focus on "What's said, gets done!".


Joanne Pawelski

Director of Service Assurance

Joanne PawelskiJoanne joined Tax-Air in February 2007 with 30 years of transportation experience mainly at BAX Global. Joanne was responsible for the BAX operations, aircraft ground handlers, and cartage companies for the state of Wisconsin over her career at BAX.
